Leonard’s Top Issues

Leonard Bell has spent his life solving problems, in the military, in the classroom, and in his community. He knows the issues facing Manchester families because he lives them every day. Here's where he stands.

  • Education

  • Property Taxes
  • Housing

  • Veterans & Military Families

Education

Education is the foundation of opportunity. From early childhood programs to college affordability, Leonard wants every child in Manchester and Litchfield to have access to the same quality resources and teachers, regardless of their neighborhood or background. Having taught in Manchester elementary schools, earned his Master of Education, and spent over a decade advising students at SNHU, Leonard knows the system from the inside, and knows exactly where it's falling short.

Property Taxes

Property taxes in New Hampshire are too high: plain and simple. Families who have worked hard to own their homes shouldn't be taxed out of them. Seniors on fixed incomes, young families just getting started, and working people across Manchester are all feeling the burden. Leonard believes in keeping more money in the pockets of the people who earned it, and will fight to lower the property tax burden on New Hampshire families..

Housing

Young couples, working families, and recent graduates are being priced out of Manchester and Litchfield. Leonard has watched neighbors, friends, and even his own family struggle to find housing they can afford. He is committed to finding real, practical solutions that keep New Hampshire families rooted in their communities and give first-time buyers a real shot at homeownership.

Veterans & Military Families

As a 20-year Navy veteran and husband to a 30-year military spouse, Leonard has lived the sacrifices of service. He's committed to getting our veterans off the streets and making sure those who served are never left behind.
